Conference organized by Department of Middle and Far East Studies, at Jagiellonian University in Krakow and School of American and International Studies, at Ramapo College of New Jersey.

The prime objective of the conference is to analyze interactions between new institutions of a modern state and traditional structures and values, as wel...l as state-society relations concerning policy and allocation of resources. We would like to address such phenomena as modernized state's politics, education, youth and women activism, youth and women mobilization, and the emerging political, economic, and social elites in the Middle East.

CALL FOR PAPERS DETAILS

The conference will include several panel discussions led by invited experts. Researchers in political science, international relations, socio-legal studies, law, area studies, anthropology, education and human rights studies are invited to submit paper abstracts.
